A dark, unrealistic dance of Everyman with his own death. The frenetic associations of the images and the music so infinite, so divine, suck us into the tunnel of no escape, drive us to the limit of our existence and in the end lock us in the infinite darkness of our own subconsciousness, endless pit, unavoidable oblivion." The film has no words, just music and images.

FANTOM / PHANTOM

A film about death!!! But this â€odeathâ€? theme is not questioned the way it usually is….. â€oWho am I?â€? ………but .more from this point of view………â€?Was I really ever there…in life?â€? Was my life really going on, ever? My own life?? Wasn’t I just one of many others, never asked, just being set there at the table, …just a role at the party named Life, which flows on with Its unstoppable force, not caring about those who think they live, grinding them below Itself, like they are mayflies, not important for It at all! Merely food for It ….for the Life Itself, which is eternal and never understandable to those who think they live. Absurd!! Wasn’t all this just an illusion, a phantom of false existence?â€? â€oIs it possible to die at all? How to get out of this chain of endless repetition………being soul and being flesh again?â€?, â€oIs it ever possible to see the other ….as she/he is. Don’t we need the other just as a mirror in which we want to reflect? Because this reflection is the only thing that proves our existence. And the other is just a phantom, our brain construction of this, what we need so desperately to see, which helps us to attach our dispersed existence to a vague ground, called reality……. rescuing us from being devoured by the endless depth of the pit which is our subconscious?â€?
There is no classical narration, as is usual in films usually……Everything is told, shown, by associating images and music and the combination of both brings the real meaning of the film to life…..tells the story, affects our subconscious. The film has no dialogues………..just music and images.
